My (Tarantula) Ceratogyrus marshalli

Ceratogyrus is a genus of southern African theraphosid spiders, commonly called horned baboons, for the foveal horn found on the peltidium in some of the species within the genus.The tarantula is not harm to people.This Blog is base on my experience.This is my first tarantula pet, common name is "Great horned baboon".I named my tarantula Shalli. I feed Shalli once a week his easy to feed. I feed him small cockroaches called latias, latias size is 1 cm long and it is fast and hard to catch, but I love to watch when he is eating a latias, because he is on defensive mode, he lift his to feet in front and slowly captured the latias his fun to watch eating like he is a boss. Everyday I check him if he is okay I push his abdomen if he reacts his okay and every month I pour small amount of water on the soil, because he drink water on the soil. Ceratogyrus Marshalli is aggressive tarantula species, because when I open my enclosure I watch him and he moved really fast. Shalli is 1 inch long and he loves to eat and he need a hiding place, Shalli molt last weak ago, molt happen when tarantula or other species is growing they replaced their old skin to a new grown. Its fun take care a exotic pet like tarantulas, I hope you like my blog.
